Slider-Band Lower Body Session

Attach a band to your hips and place one foot on a slider.  Alternate through the following 4 movements doing 60-seconds of work & 30-seconds rest/transition.  That is 1 cycle.  Repeat for 3 total cycles

Low Reach Slide Right
Low Reach Slide Left
Side Slide Right
Side Slide Left

Keep movements slow to maximize time under tension.  Simple way to get after your lower body strength.

Beginner Single Leg Deadlift 

This single band - single leg deadlift  is a solid beginner deadlift variation. 

Here are the keys to success

1 -  Loop the band over the opposite hand onto your wrist to load the working glute medius

2 -  Keep band length approximately 10 to 12” between hand and foot to gain resistance through full range of motion

3 - Keep back toe tapping the floor only

Scale band resistance and keep rep tempo slow.

New Attached Chest Press Setup 

LISTEN UP!!

I have been testing out this new Single Band Attached Chest press setup and finding it to be pretty effective at loading the chest.

Keep band pressure against the outside of the hand and some level of band tension between the hands.

I will use a staggered, parallel or stepping base of support.

Deads and Tri’s

Grab a Pair of DBs and Attach up a band.  Cycle through this 2 exercise sequence doing 8 Cycles

DB-Band Deadlifts - 10
Assisted Close Grip Triceps Press - 10

The goal is to use the tricep press to allow your lower body to recover which means load up on the deadlifts.  Rest as needed during workout.  Track your time to complete.  Keep rep quality high. Elevate DB surface to decrease depth of deadlift and low back stress. .

Feel free to drop db weight and bump up work reps to create more of a metabolic effect
